Calhoun Beach Club Closure, 9/30

To Our Valued Members

Over the past few months, you’ve likely seen news reports about the Covid-19 related challenges facing the fitness industry. Unfortunately, our club is no exception. The pandemic has presented additional obstacles related to membership and operations that have accelerated our plans to consider redeveloping the space.
While we figure out the best way to serve our community, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the athletic club. Our last day of operation will be September 30th. Sections of the club will remain open as a fitness center for resident use only.
Originally established in the 1920’s, we have been honored to be part of serving this community for over 20 years and to be such an important part of the lakefront’s character and culture. This club has a rich history and we take seriously our responsibility as stewards of this storied space. Removing the operational and financial constraints of serving the general public allows us to focus entirely on transforming the athletic club for the better.
In the months ahead, we will study how we can best serve our residents and community for the long term. This could include a fitness complex and if it does, we hope you’ll choose to return to our club.
Members who have any prepaid services may redeem them in-club or through virtual training options arranged with your Personal Trainer. Members may also request a refund by emailing contact@calhounbeachfitness.com
For questions related to billing, please email contact@calhounbeachfitness.com.
For general questions about the club closure, please email theclub@aimco.com. We will do our best to respond to your email within 48-72 hours.
Many of you have been part of our fitness family for decades, and we remain grateful to you for your loyalty and kinship.
