There’s just something special about enjoying a refreshing cocktail in the summertime. Whether you’re out by the pool, on your deck, or at a cabin with friends, it’s nice to spice things up and try something other than your classic Summer Shandy. We’ve compiled a list of 3 different cocktail ideas that won’t pack on the calories and will be sure to hit the spot.

1. Fresh Mint Mojito (1 serving)
Place 1½ ounces white rum, ½ sliced lime, ¼ cup packed mint leaves, and 2 teaspoons superfine sugar (or simple syrup) into a glass and muddle well until all is combined. Pour in ¼ cup club soda and top with 1 cup of crushed ice. Mix it all together and garnish with a few mint leaves. That’s it! Super simple and very refreshing.

2. Frozen Strawberry Margaritas (6 servings)
Place 5 cups frozen strawberries, 3 cups ice, 1 cup tequila, ⅔ cup lime juice, ½ cup triple sec, and ¼ cup simple syrup into a blender and blend until smooth. This one is perfect for Taco Tuesday or cooling off on a steamy summer night.

3. Watermelon Gin Fizz (4 servings)
First freeze one cup of watermelon. Next, puree 4 cups of watermelon and pour into 4 glasses. Top each with 1½ ounces gin, 2 tablespoons lime juice and ⅓ cup ginger ale. Garnish with the frozen watermelon and lime wedges. A fun twist to a classic cocktail, especially for watermelon lovers!
